Kosovo village
Our team is determined, for the first time in Bulgaria, to suggest to the public, innovate form of alternative tour – we called it “architecTOURia”.
As you already know, Foundation”Daskal Branzalov”“mission is creation of an application that serves as a virtual register of buildings with exceptional architectural value in our motherland. But until this becomes a reality, the most practical and efficient way to preserve our architectural heritage is to urge and motivate more people to get to know, to experience its beauty!
That is how we implemented our idea last year in the picturesque village of Rhodopy mountain – Kosovoр, together of our firs enthusiasts – travellers.
During our visit you will be accommodated in Hadjiiska House – a monument of a cultural value, built in 1853 and renovated in 2005 together with the old-time barn, which at the moment is functioning as a Restaurant “Hadjiiska House”. The owner Svetla Raleva will tell you the story of this amazing “food sanctuary”.
Another significant in value venue in the village – the Uspenie Bogorodichno Church, houses an ossuary since the time of the Turkish Yoke in its yard, school, etc. and will tell you its story via the amazing story teller Tina Bakalska.
As a part of this adventure we”ll take a walk around Hvoina village, where we”ll see Varada, the veterinary station, and a few more buildings of importance for the village – the school, design by the architect Bojan Chinkov
Besides the architectural tours, the visitors will have a real rest and relaxation, thanks to Laughter Yoga sessions and Port De Bra with Zlatina Pachilova. Workshop organised by Svetlana Kamps will take you to the World of Wool.
Every day of this experience will begin and end immersing in the unique atmosphere of the restaurant “Hadjiiska House”. The speciality of Rhodopy mountain cuisine will be “washed down” with special selection of the wines our Partners from Villa Melnik provided us with.
